Might have to check out EB tomorrow seeing as I'm off work. If not broken tomorrow, then it'll have to wait until Saturday. Good thing I'm a Level 3 EB World member so they'll hold my pre-order new release for 72 hours.

Oh and heard on Good Game just now that there will be a review of Darksiders II next week on the show

OK, been looking on Darksiders.com and found some bits of info folks might like to know, if they didn't already.

Unlock the Power of War by playing Darksiders

Players who played the first Darksiders will unlock the Pauldron of the Horsemen in Darksiders II. This level 5 legendary armor piece boosts all Death’s stats as well as his critical damage. Gamers who have finished the game on any difficulty will also earn a level 1 legendary scythe called the Chaos Fang which will boost Death’s damage and critical damage.

Introducing Darksiders II Tomes

The Tomes are Darksiders II in-game emailing system. You can send your friends messages, and also attach up to 4 pieces of armor or weapons to each mail to trade or share items. When you attach an item to a message, it’s removed from your game and delivered to theirs.

The Tome system is also how you retrieve pre-order items and other loot awarded with in-game codes, as well as how you’re alerted to
special areas now being accessible to you within Darksiders II.

That Tome system, I do believe, is used to unlock an achievement in game also, where you need to give or trade an item with a friend.

Darksiders II Collector's Edition Unboxing

Really tempted to watch this vid, but I think I'm gonna wait to get my hands on it for myself and see what it looks like.

Well, no broken street date. Not yet anyway. I've rang a couple of the local EB stores as well as JB but they all say the same thing, "it's not available until tomorrow." Oh well.

On a positive note, this morning I found out about the Darksiders II: Soul Harvest app for iPhone (and I would assume Androids too).

Basically, the app uses your Facebook account to see how many people have checked in at various locations, then provides you with "souls" to "harvest". Once you have collected enough, you unlock various goodies, such as mobile wallpapers, digital comics and even an in-game exclusive weapon!

I'm really wanting to unlock the weapon, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's unlockable later on in the game anyway, kind of the same as the Scythe being unlockable in the first game later on, but if you had a code you could unlock at the beginning.

EDIT: Speaking of weapon unlocks, if you go to the official Darksiders page on Facebook and give them a like, you can redeem a code for the Rusanov's Axe weapon. And it looks bad arse!

Picked up my copy of DS2 yesterday. Having some fun with it. Trying to get used to the controls once again. Been a while since I played the first Darksiders. The Death Mask looks bloody awesome too!

Oh and I received a parcel slip in the mail today, so I think it may be Arkham City that I bought on OzGameShop a week or so back. 2 games in 24 hours! Think I may leave Arkham wrapped up for now though until I've played Darksiders for a bit.

Oh and one more thing, if anyone else needs to get that achievement on Darksiders 2 for sending an item to a friend, feel free to send your crappy unwanted bits of stuff my way.

I WILL DO THAT ONCE I GET MY STUFF SET UP IN A FEW WEEKS........ and im pretty sure its jsut us 2 that got the game....... i havent seen the mask yet... can you post a image of yours on here scott?

I'll try and get some decent pics later on. Will probably get pics of all the DS2 stuff as well as my Gears 3 stuff and post them in the collectables forum. Keep an eye out folks!

I've got a copy of the Collectors Edition sitting here, not allowed to play it though. I have cracked the seal though to have a look at the contents... including the Death mask.

The reason I can't play it is I picked the game up for one roaming Snarey, who's out of the state at the moment.

I wondered why Snarey had been so quiet lately...

I started playing the other night, on pc that is. As I also picked up my CE last night for xbox. So far I'm really enjoying it. I think i'll finish the pc version before i jump on the xbox one. Curtrently focusing on battlefield on the box atm.

Basically you run around as a big bad arse guy (Death, the most feared of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse) hacking shit apart with your Double Scythes.

It was created by Joe "Mad" Madureira, one of the first "fusion" (thats what I call it anyway) comic artists from the late 90's.
It is based on the real Horse Men, those of Greek mythology.
Was a late comer to the first one, found it when I googled Joe Mad. Enjoyd it heaps, havent played part 2 due to time (working away now).

Hope it does well, this has probably been mentioned before but I dont care cause im a Joe Mad fan.
